The Police Academy in Szczytno actively participates in national and international initiatives aimed at increasing public safety, including activities carried out within the structures of the European Union. The ENLETS project serves as a platform for cooperation between services from member states in the exchange of experiences and the implementation of modern technologies supporting the activities of law enforcement agencies.

More than 70 representatives of services and institutions from 19 member states took part in the event. The aim of the meeting was to officially inaugurate the next phase of the ENLETS program, review the previous activities of the various working groups, and define directions for their further development.

One of the key elements of the meeting was a practical exercise based on a scenario of a natural disaster – flood in Spain. Participants developed recommendations for effective response to such threats based on the experiences and best practices of member states. Furthermore, all participants had the opportunity to become familiar with the infrastructure of the Spanish police and the tasks and difficulties they most often encounter.

The "Public Order" working group, which is responsible for one of the key areas of the ENLETS project, is headed by Colonel Jakub Gorczyński – Voivodeship Commandant in Bydgoszcz. The Polish delegation, apart from the representative of the Police Academy in Szczytno, also included Capt. Michał Rudka – Deputy Commandant of the Independent Counterterrorism Subdivision of the Voivodeship Police Headquarters based in Radom.

International cooperation and the sharing of knowledge and experience are gaining particular importance in the face of growing security challenges. The Police Academy in Szczytno consistently engages in activities that contribute to strengthening public safety and improving the operational effectiveness of law enforcement services, thereby strengthening its position and gaining increasing international recognition.
