On 7-11 April, 2025, students of Criminology and Police Science, under the Erasmus+ mobility program, participated in a student traineeship at the University of Applied Science for the Federal State of Baden-Württemberg Police, held in Villingen-Schwenningen.
Program's mobility participants were introduced to the functioning and organizational structure of the German police. In the course of the project, they became familiar with the basic training and education system for Baden-Württemberg police officers. They visited: the Police Headquarters in Constance, where they learned about the functioning of the notification, command and coordination center for search and pursuit activities, the Europapark-Rust Police Station where their hosts presented the subject of performing duty among large centers of population and cooperation with the private sector in ensuring public safety, the SC Freiburg Stadium and the police operations center located there, the Constance Water Commissariat where they learned about the nature and extent of water service, discussed the benefits of international patrols in border areas.
Moreover, the students had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the officers' equipment and the advantages of newly implemented technical solutions. As part of a workshop held at the university, a simulation game was conducted in order to exchange experiences between Polish and German officers in the context of hostage situations and high-risk domestic interventions.
The stay in Villingen-Schwenningen allowed the students to learn more about the law enforcement system and broaden their knowledge in the area of fighting crime.
