On 12-16 May 2025, Lieutenant Marcin Buchholz from the Department of Crime Studies at the Institute of Criminal Service, Police Academy in Szczytno, participated in a teaching mobility under the Erasmus+ programme, delivering academic lectures at the Police Academy of Lower Saxony in Nienburg (Germany).
As part of his visit, Lt. Marcin Buchholz conducted lectures in German, focusing on the structure and functioning of the Polish Police, the national police training system, and criminal activity in Poland.
The initiative took place within the framework of the "International Days 2025 at the Police Academy of Lower Saxony", organized by the host institution. The aim of the event was to familiarize third-year undergraduate students from the academy’s campuses in Nienburg, Oldenburg, and Hann. Münden with the organization and operational methods of police forces in various European countries.
The lectures covered a broad range of topics, including general crime, challenges faced by police services, cybercrime, domestic violence, and police training. An additional objective of the initiative was to promote the exchange of experiences related to cross-border cooperation between police services and international policing missions.
Speakers included representatives of police services from Finland, Estonia, Sweden, Scotland, Portugal, Spain, Italy, Greece, Austria, Switzerland, Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands.
Lieutenant Marcin Buchholz’s visit to the Police Academy of Lower Saxony was not only an opportunity to present the achievements and experience of the Polish Police, but also an important step in strengthening long-term international cooperation and relationships.
